This past Friday was the first time this year I was able to play with the Get Down Society guys. Its been a couple of months I think since we've had an opportunity to play together so it was refreshing to get together and play a cool new venue. Tons of friends came out and there was a lot of dancing going on. Kofi was even in town to play percussion and bring his usual positive energy to the soulful house vibe GDS is known for bringing to their shows.

If you haven't been to Super El Camino you gotta check it out. Mauricio reinvented his former Airport Lounge into a super cool and funky little Mexican restaurant / bar. The vibe is more down to earth and much less pretentious than your typical gas lamp dance club. I have not eaten there yet but hear the food is awesome.
